Cabinet reshuffle: PM Modi to recast team with nine new faces NEW DELHI: The Modi ministry is set for a major recast — its third in as many years — on Sunday with a slew of elevations and nine inductions with GenNext leaders Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Nirmala Sitharaman tipped to get full Cabinet status and others such as Rajyavardhan Rathore and Jitendra Singh expected to get meatier assignments. Tamil Nadu: August – Over 30 cm rainfall recorded in 17 weather stations Chennai: In an exception for the month of August, a total of 17 weather stations have recorded above 30 cm rainfall in Tamil Nadu, thus slightly erasing the water scarcity situation, statistics say. In a related development, the inflow to Mettur dam and Bhavani Sagar, which dipped early this week gained momentum with Mettur receiving an inflow of 4,500 cusecs on Saturday.
