I am speaking about my book and other Somali issues from 1-2.30 pm on Saturday 9 March at The Idea Store in Whitechapel. The address is 321 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1BU.

When Somali piracy was at its height, I did a lot of reporting on the subject for the BBC. I spoke to lots of pirates and got to know people involved in trying to stop the problem, including British naval and other military personnel. They did a pretty good job - piracy dropped significantly in the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden.
