Define a Friend tedious work

To define a friend is tedious and complex work. None can easily explain it properly. Someone has truly said a friend in need is a friend indeed. No matter where you are, with who you are, it has no connection with gender, community, or anything else.

When Somali piracy was at its height, I did a lot of reporting on the subject for the BBC. I spoke to lots of pirates and got to know people involved in trying to stop the problem, including British naval and other military personnel. They did a pretty good job - piracy dropped significantly in the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden.
